?Help! Come quick! There?s been a murder!? The words rang clearly through the corridors of Bournemouth?s Highcliff Marriott hotel [on 5 March], as a horde of would-be sleuths hurried to the scene to gather any clues before mulling them over with a glass or two of wine and a spot of dinner.
It?s not the first time those words have been heard at the Highcliff Marriott ? murder mystery specialists Catch the Killer are regular visitors to the hotel, entertaining their guests with a carefully prepared yet fatal conundrum to stimulate the little grey cells.
Murder at the Mansion was no exception, with the intricate plot keeping most of the guests guessing through three courses of excellent food prepared by the chefs of the Highcliff Grill. Throughout the meal, the actors of the drama seen at the beginning of the evening circulated around the tables to submit to questioning, doing their best to play by the rules of the game ? all the actors must tell the truth, except the killer.
There?s something sombrely compelling about a murder, as long as it?s fictional. The discussion immediately prompts discussion with the other guests at your table while good food and wine work their magic. I can thoroughly recommend it ? a great night out.
