The Correspondents filled Mr Kyps with high octane energy that had the Sunday night crowd spinning on their heels from start to finish. The splendidly dressed Mr B, in the tightest of shiny leggings and harlequinesque attire was accompanied by the more conservative Chuck on the mixing desk. Together they create a hybrid sound; a mix of drum’n’bass, electro swing, dubstep and funk. It’s impossible to not be impressed by Mr B as he dances like a wild man, his boundless energy and agility amazing as he actually dances on a moving running machine track.

The Correspondents have had a great year, gracing the best of the summer festivals, including Bestival, and performing in Europe. Their new single, ‘Cheating With You’ is a fine dance track. Their contemporary twist on vintage sounds, mixed with boogie woogie and who knows what else, will have you digging out your lycra, donning your spats and eying the running machine at the gym with renewed enthusiasm.
