Every June, The Point theatre in Eastleigh hosts an annual dance festival, featuring an exciting mix of professional and community dance performances, events and opportunities. With around 5000 people taking part, the festival provides something for everyone to enjoy, from performing in our theatre to taking part in a workshop or simply sitting back in the park and watching one of the outdoor performances.

This year’s highlights include workshops allowing children to create a day in a day, a screening of the Oscar winner Black Swan and a careers day for those wanting to pursue dance professionally.

Performances include ‘In Our Blood,’ presented by Lila Dance, which has been inspired by the potential of dance to communicate the most intangible and emotional of human experiences and ‘Streetz Breakin’Beatz’ a show by previous UK Hip Hop Champions, Peridot, who wowed TV audiences across the country in Britain’s Got Talent and have even performed at the MOBO awards.
