Young Film-makers

April 26, 2010
Children in the South have been busy making their own mini ‘Charity Telthon’-style TV show, as part of a national competition. The students of Poole-based filmmaking school, Filmsteps, have been filming documentaries about their chosen charities – the RSPCA and Dorset Wildlife Trust, bringing together news reports, entertainment clips and studio links, which will appear on the online TV station www.FilmstepsTv.com. Last month, a team from Dorset Wildlife Trust visited the filmschool to show the children how to make bird boxes, which have now been taken back to Brownsea Island. The summer term at Filmsteps Poole holds more exciting events with writer, stunt and acting workshops and the ever popular 5 day summer Filmschool.
