Children in the South have been busy making their own mini ‘Charity Telthon’-style TV show, as part of a national competition. The students of Poole-based filmmaking school, Filmsteps, have been filming documentaries about their chosen charities – the RSPCA and Dorset Wildlife Trust, bringing together news reports, entertainment clips and studio links, which will appear on the online TV station www.FilmstepsTv.com. Last month, a team from Dorset Wildlife Trust visited the filmschool to show the children how to make bird boxes, which have now been taken back to Brownsea Island.
