Intensive Journalism Courses

March 1, 2010
Want to be a journalist? A sports reporter, news reporter, magazine journalist or photojournalist?

If so, there are a limited number of places available in 2010 on the Up To Speed journalism courses in Bournemouth.

The 24-week intensive course start in September and January, and lead to the coveted NCTJ Diploma in Journalism.

Based in the Bournemouth Daily Echo building, Up To Speed offer a range of courses with a tighter, more specific focus to the teaching. Instead of lecturing on journalism in general, they provide you with the choice to specialise in your particluar subject area.

A broad range of journalism essentials are also offered, from the testy waters of court reporting, to the detailed intricacies of shorthand.

The majority of Up To Speed journalists go on to have successful careers in publishing, media and PR, with recent graduates securing media roles in industries as diverse as Formula 1, health and beauty, charities, TV listings and national newspapers.
