Prepare for the Banff Film Festival to transport you to the world’s last great wild places, visit remote cultures and experience amazing footage of adrenaline-packed action sports, such as climbing, kayaking, and skiing.
This year’s selection of extraordinary short films from the world's leading adventure film makers include Cold, the story of three climbers attempting to be the first to climb one of Pakistan’s 8,000m peaks in winter. See the raw and chilling first-hand footage of their attempt and the harrowing descent that follows.
All I Can: The Short Cut is a special edit of the award-winning ski film. Stunning time-lapse sequences, deep powder and a mind-blowing urban downhill skiing scene are just some of the highlights.
Kadoma takes its title from the nickname for Hendri Coetzee, a legendary South African kayaker who is known for exploring some of Africa’s wildest rivers. Coetzee sets off on a new adventure into the Democratic Republic of Congo, but seven weeks into the expedition, tragedy strikes.
