When out and about hiking Corfe Castle and in need of refreshment, when try a twist on traditional ice cream with the home range at Purbeck Ice Cream in Wareham.
Though they supply across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire, you can also go straight to the source and try a range of dairy desserts and sorbets. While this includes the staple vanilla bean, strawberry seduction and rum & raisin flavours, there are some cracking combinations to try, including honey & ginger and champagne & strawberry. Why not try the scrumptious Christmas pudding flavour this Yuletide?
Proving themselves exceptionally versatile, Purbeck have also developed a savoury and spicy range. This includes the simple stem ginger and cracked black pepper flavours, as well as the more nuanced lemon grass, perfect with Thai dishes, ChilliRed for seafood, and the new Beetroot and Horseradish for beef and Caradmom for curry.
All of this is locally sourced from the Lower Scoles Farm, including milk from their Frisian cows, honey from their hives and apple from their orchards. As all ingredients are nut and gluten free, this indeed is pure indulgence.
Purbeck Ice Cream is located in Wareham, Dorset. For more information, call 01929 480090 or visit www.purbeckicecream.co.uk.
