The world's most brilliant detective finally comes face to face with his nemesis, Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris).
When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr) suspects the involvement of the criminal mastermind Professor Moriarty. So he enlists the help of his ever-tolerant friend Dr Watson (Jude Law).
Using his brilliantly strange mind Holmes realises that the murder is just one piece of an even larger plot. He tracks the clues to a gentleman's club where he and his brother Mycroft (Stephen Fry) just so happen to be celebrating Dr Watson’s last night of freedom.
Holmes meets gypsy fortune-teller Sim (Noomi Rapace), who unknowingly has become Moriarty's next target. So begins a thrilling cross-continent adventure for the trio involving violent brawls, running for one’s life and Holmes’ various crazy disguises.
With the future of western civilisation at stake the brilliant detective must out-smart his foe before it is too late. Holmes and Watson must utilise their individual skills to defeat the dastardly professor.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is an incredibly clever, yet humorous action-thriller. It has all the great aspects that made Director Guy Ritchie’s fist Sherlock Holmes movie such a success.
This movie reunites the brilliant double act of Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law. It also introduces 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' star Noomi Rapace as Sim, with the welcome addition of Stephen Fry as Mycroft.
