Following a number of ‘pop up’ events across the summer, the Arts By the Sea festival kicks off in earnest early in September with the Electric Hotel installation taking over Pavilion Dance from 23rd to 24th.

Set on the terraces of the Pavilion, a two-story structure will offer a fly-on-the-wall view to a dance spectacular. Watching through the windows and listening in through wireless headphones, viewers will be able to spy on the dancers as they carry out their goings on in the fictional Electric Hotel.

The concept of the show toys with the privacy of the dancers. Every intimate inch of the characters lives cannot be missed providing a thrilling and exclusive night of entertainment. Audiences can even enjoy the built in bar to fully appreciate the beauty of this set.

Having been a big hit already at the Big Chill and Latitude festivals, Director David Rosenburg believes the unique idea should be particular interesting to Bournemouth residents. He said: “It’s a real pleasure to take Electric Hotel to Bournemouth. As a busy coastal resort, there will be many people in the tourist industry who will be able to relate to the curious goings-on taking place within the performance.”

Following an hour long show, the set will then transform into the venue of a silent disco from 10.30pm onwards.
