All good things come in small packages, as the saying goes, and this is certainly true of comedy venue Ashcroft Arts. This season’s highlights include comedians including Russell Kane and Andrew Lawrence, who plays on Thursday 26 January.

Lawrence is perhaps most famous for his portrayal of Marco the Christian builder in Johnny Vegas’ BBC3 sitcom Ideal, and has been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award several times.

Fans can expect an amalgamation of acoustic songs and jokes, which aim to turn the air bluer than a stampede of Smurfs. Ear muffs for granny are highly recommended...
